Not sure if this is allowed or not, but I'm really craving to read well-written Itachi-centric fic. SasuIta, ItaKisa, slash, gen, het, whatever! As long as it's well-written ^_^ Does anyone have any recs?

just a warning though, it's KisaIta but it's angst, the fic evolves around Itachi's coping with Sasuke's death~ makes you cry but is soooo goooooood :D

I simply adore that writer! I also rec those fics and anything else by her 1000000x infinity!

There's also an author named paws-bells (think that's how she spells her name), the majority of her stuff is het Itachi/Sakura, and she's also amazing. Anything by those two authors is incredible.

Out of the Sky (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4520302/1/Out_of_the_Sky) by Shaitanah is one of my absolute favorites! It's gen, 1st person POV, but it goes into Itachi's struggles in the Akatsuki as well.

Shinobi (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4455790/1/Shinobi) by Candelabra is another one of my favorites. It's a oneshot gen fic exploring Itachi's life in the Academy and later in the Akatsuki.

Verisimilitude (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4457939/1/Verisimilitude) by Kalliel is this ADORABLE pre-massacre genfic about Itachi and young!Sasuke. Sasuke is sick and Itachi tries to take care of him. Very cute.

And Farther Still Than That (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5882411/1/And_Farther_Still_Than_That) by nthcoincident is this EPIC Itachi/Shisui fic that literally had me all choked up at the end. It's an AU where the massacre doesn't take place and the coup occurs, and you see exactly what happens if Itachi hadn't fulfilled his mission. (Actually, all of her stuff is fantastic. I'd recommend checking out her LJ, it's all really good!)

And lastly:

Thunder (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5506672/1/Thunder) by fowl68. It's a short fic about Itachi's self-sacrifice and how it affects Sasuke. Very tenderly written, and it makes me just want to give Itachi a great big hug.
