To be fair, I don't think there was any official colored art on Kushina, or any mention of her having red hair, when she finally debuted on the anime?? Maybe it'll be changed from purple to red.

Yeah, I think so! Expecially since she looked to have lighter-coloured hair than Karin-- But the most people would have guessed a light-orange color, maybe? What about purple XD ?
