Another vote for the wonderful eyes - and the expression is nice as well. I like the way the rest of her body goes out of focus, slightly, below the focal point of the face, although I think the angle of the body (especially at the waist) is slightly strange. I don't think you need to have so much space at the side, unless you're planning on turning it into a banner. :)
I'm also adding in a comment about the hairclip, which I feel nicely directs the attention to the eyes. And, oh, looking closer, I can see the teeth of the brush, which is a great attention to detail.

I do feel that the disparity in hair colour between the left and right side is a bit too much, especially since the hair colour on the right side is really vibrant. Also, the shadow of the hair over the right shoulder, where her hand is gripping it, looks a little strange.

The shading is lovely, and brings life to the picture. I like the fact that the background is not "flat" but coloured/shaded/textured as well. Great art. :)

I get what you mean about the angle of the body. I had some trouble figuring out the lines of her torso and eventually just gave up since I figured black clothes were forgiving, haha...

To be honest, I wish I'd done a proper background, but I'm glad you like the texture. Thank you! :D
