The anime at the moment is actually failing all over the floor.
I hate that on Narutoget.com is has a Shippuden looking thumbnail for the most recent episodes and it ends up going back to the first arc, literally.

I've been trying to be all like squee, baby Team 7, but this last episode -- with the cold/chakra flu -- worked my last nerve. Wake me when it's over.

I think it's cute, but I agree I'd rather it get back to the main story. I figure we have about 20 episodes of filler to go, because the opening is pretty vague and doesn't show any of the kages. When the next opening starts I figure the filler will end... so April. :/
