Rest [Drabble]

Title: Rest
Characters: Hidan, Kakuzu, Yugito

Summary: KakuHidan-ish. The trio is forced to sleep in some inn's stables.



Hidan looked at her, his eyes very bright against the paleness of his hair and skin. Both of his hands rested on Kakuzu’s chest while the other man remained impassive. Then he ever-so-gently bent down, bringing his lips to his leader’s neck, opening his mouth, sucking maybe or biting down.

Kakuzu made a sound in the back of his throat, his hand fisting in the younger man’s hair with sudden ferociousness as he pulled his lips away.

They slept in the stables tonight. The rain and mud of the road making them not the only ones to be glad to spend the night under a roof, so that there had been no more rooms in the actual inn when they arrived.

Hidan’s spine bent as the other man brought his face to his eyelevel.

“We could let her like… participate” Hidan purred, his neck twisted in an awkward angle by the way his partner held his head.

An inverse-colored gaze shifted to Yugito, fixing her languidly and it occurred to her that she had rarely witnessed this kind of intimacy between them even though she had always been aware that it had been there. For a second he scrutinized her. She tried not to look away and not to blink like in a child’s game. Then something between them shifted.

A grin spread over Hidan’s features.

Straw scratched over Yugito’s back as Kakuzu slung his arms around her middle, pulling her over to him and Hidan.

Then she lay there, flush against his form while Hidan mouthed almost soundless things against the nape of the other man’s neck.

I was having a really difficult day, and then I found this little shred of enjoyment, and it wasn't so bad anymore :3

Hidan is like a poison candy- sweet but rotten. His mysterious incantations are strangely intimate and slightly creepy. I like it.

Thanks for the kind comment. To be honest I find Hidan somewhat hard to write. It always seems to me that he should be more active (loud, demaning, vocal,...) I mean I could write a whole drabble about what he does while the actual plot (or what goes for it) takes place.

Mellow and languorous aren't a fit I would pin him with, he does seem to be compelled into an exigency of perpetual motion. It's a wonder he is able to lie still during his rituals!

This is an absolutely lovely treat :) Hidan DOES seem languorous here, and it's difficult to tell exactly what the feelings between all three of them are. Albeit very clear that Hidan's enjoying himself. It's sort of luminously mysterious, anyway, and absolutely lovely. Great job!

Uhmm...late reply, I know. Anyway, I think I wrote it that way because I figured Hidan would be behaving more seductive than any of the other two in such a situation.
Thanks for commenting though, since you pretty much invented the pairing as far as I know, I'm always super-happy when you do.
