It would be nice to see Sakura, and Kishi should have found a way to work her in--but in fairness, as a medic, she is supposed to be hanging back from the fight. You don't see Shizune up there, either. Yeah, she should've been the one to fix Naruto's shoulder, maybe, but on the other hand, she shouldn't have been there at the front line where he was at that moment.

Yeah, it's not like no-one else has died yet. IIRC they said they lost half of the original shinobi forces, so if anything they should've been inspired by all of those guys dying.

MORE chakra high-fives! Also wooo, yet another skill Naruto somehow has without any apparent practice or learning involved. He JUST KNOWS how to do it, because that's definitely how complex skills and techniques work. Also it seems really weird that the kyuubi is feeling all warm and fuzzy towards Minato and Kushina now, what with them being involved with keeping him trap in Kushina's stomach for years. Seriously the kyuubi has plenty of reason to still be pretty cheesed about the whole jinchuuriki thing but apparently just wants to be friends with Konoha now? And continue to live in Naruto's stomach?

Haha wow way for Naruto to ignore Obito's crack about how Neji lived and died with the Caged Bird Seal on him and just move right along to how they're all fighting for Neji or whatnot. Even the dudes from other countries who don't know him, I guess? Seriously though the seal seems like a plotpoint that Kishimoto lost track of a bit.

When Naruto's shoulder got healed, I thought to myself, 'oh HERE'S Sakura finally, for the big full-team attack' but nope, it was Hinata! Because Sakura has been completely written out of the story, I guess?

I'm wondering if Hinata got so much page time pre-Neji's death because Neji's death was going to happen...that way we could get the max amount of dramatic reactions. Either that or Kishimoto suddenly decided he REALLY wanted a romance subplot for Naruto, who knows.

I do love how chillaxed Madara looks though. He's all 'huh, dudes attacking me with kyuubi chakra, I guess I should fight or something? maybe?' Also I love how everyone has little chakra bunny ears now. They kinda look like Totoros to me...except with pointy rabbit ears I guess haha.

In the last panel, is it just me or are Orochimaru's shoulders drawn really out of proportion? Everyone else in the panel has tiny shoulders. Also if Sasuke's subplot here is going to be told entirely in the last panel of each chapter I will laugh.

I never thought where's Sakura? After Hinata made her declaration that she would be by Naruto's side from now on, if Kishi had moved her back to the sidelines, then I would be a little upset, but since she said it, I expect her by his side. I expect her to do things for him that was expected of Sakura.

I know Kishi loves to have Sakura do one big thing (so we don't forget she exists) and then have her go back to crying, but I fully expect her to be a major part when Sasuke comes in. And if he chooses to not let her shine, I won't be surprised, either.

Agree. But I'm leaning more to her not doing anything with Sasuke given she already stated she would leave Sasuke to Naruto. If she does anything I'm more hopeful it will involve her healing skills.

The only bonds Sasuke wants to keep with Naruto right now are bonds of hate. That, or having the twisted joy of doing terrible, horrible things and Naruto always, always, always giving Sasuke a second chance, because Naruto will never cut his losses, ever. Sadly, because Naruto is the main character, Naruto will always be "right" in the manga.

Whatever Naruto's views may be, it doesn't negate the fact that Sasuke's is all "NARUTO I HATE YOUR GUTS DIAF GONNA DESTROY THE VILLAGE KTHXBAI," and that Sasuke does not want to form or keep any bonds with Naruto, except for perhaps hate, which was my original comment. Naruto doesn't seem to understand that Sasuke doesn't like him, which is...really hilarious.

It's the sad sort of hilarious, like a kid still believing in Santa. At some point, they're going to learn the truth, and then their world will be utterly shattered. Naruto's optimism is so utterly blinding in the manga that I just can't figure out whether to laugh at him or cry for him. Luckily, since he's the main character, it will all work out in the end, but still.
