What is the deal with fistbumps in the Naruto world? Just...why has this, of all things, been chosen as the way to use magic telepathy or whatever? It was silly enough during Valley of the End and it's only gotten sillier.
In all honesty, I really wanted at least some of the shinobi to die during Obito's attack, because at this point although the characters keep SAYING they're all done for, don't know what to do, etc., they appear to be doing just fine. Faced with the seemingly unsolvable problem of escaping the explosion...it's solved in a pretty boring manner without much suspense. When they just keep shrugging off everything Obito does it's hard to take this fight seriously at all. It's boring for them to win if there's no struggle.
And, once again, Naruto saves the day by...being given new powers through no effort of his own. Wooo. I can't even be that interested in yin!Kurama being impressed with Naruto treating him as an equal, because the story spent so little time on Naruto and Kurama becoming friends. If that was going to end up being an important plot point, it really needed to be developed more over the whole course of the manga.
This battle with Obito...it's just been really dull so far. But I'm still holding out hope that Madara will do something interesting. If it turns out he's only there to give a reason why Hashirama can't just do everything by himself (thus taking the spotlight away from Naruto) I will be so disappoint.
Have any of his powers ever really been just given to him without any effort though?
It seems all yin!Kurama did was give Naruto more chakra to where he was able to reinstate the kyuubi-cloaks he had given everyone before, which allowed Minato to warp everyone out of harm's way. And this was something Naruto thought of himself, just like when he used his kyuubi-cloak arms to touch Sasuke and then Minato so they can all warp out. He's simply using the tools and abilities of the people he's fighting with to give them a chance in the fight.
as "Sasuke-is-slightly-mad-and-has-still-own-plans-about-what-happens-to-the-word" fan I think it's incredibly stubig to give him Kyuubi's chakra. just saying.
Otherwise: so much fluff doesn't belong on a battlefield. I want blood and dying characters. Hurry up, Obito. Win!
Also had some thoughts on the Uchiha+Kyuubi chakra thing but apparently nothing big happened to Sasuke yet. He would rather need Senju chakra for some special powers, right?
