Zetsu Robot Theory!

Hear me out: Zetsu speaks strictly in Katakana (I don't remember if he did so back when he first popped up after naruto/sasuke). Now, in every japanese video game I've ever played, speaking strictly in Katakana means you're a robot, computer, or robotic computer. So Zetsu might be some kind of ninja robot!

Of course, it's far more likely that he speaks in katakana just to make him stand out (like the flytrap wasn't enough), or to emphasize the fact that he might be machinelike in nature. A true cold-blooded killer.

He also speaks as if there are more of him, you know? 'We are hungry' n' junk like that... Maybe hes brainwashed which makes him robot like?

Doesn't Zetsu have two "parts" to him? >_>; It's kinda creepy. I think his plant part talks, and then he has a human part. Because when you first meet him, he first speaks in freaky katakana, and then he goes "un" in hiragana. THE WEIRDNESS!!!!

I've heard this theory before by hisshou and I think it's sort of silly. Naruto isn't really a world for robots, and the closest we have are puppets -- which work just fine for the setting. I think Zetsu speaks in katakana because he's more plant-like than he his human, which explains it just as well.

I had a theory of Zetsu being fullmetal!Obito (you know all what happened to Archer in FMA!), but it really didn't make any more sense than this.

And I think Hisshou was actually serious.

Didn't only one of his personalities speak only in katakana? The other used kanji and hiragana, IIRC.

i doubt he'd be full robot just because if you were the leader of the akatsuki, would you honestly want a robot having the power of a legendary beast inside him
