It's about that time again. All apologies for the RP pimpage, but sadly, it must be done.

( We're looking for a few good men... women... okay, we'll take AMBIGUOUS at this point... )

I introduce to you narutorp, a (duh) LJ based NarutoRP. Although we have previously followed the manga, recently we have diverged from more recent manga plot developments. In this game, the Sound 5 never made their fateful journey to retrieve Sasuke and the Sasuke-Lurves-Barrel arc never took place. Instead, a year has passed in tentative peace. Many of Konoha's genin are now chuunin and Orochimaru is still looking fervently for a vessel.

We are in DIRE (and I mean, DIRE) need of a Itachi, Asuma, Shikato, Choumaru, Tayuya, Sakon/Ukon and Jiroubou. We're missing all of the Akatsuki except for Deidara and Kisame (They're lonely! Apply today!) and we could use a few of Shizune's boys (eg. Aoba, Iwashi, Raidou, etc.) We like new people, so you may also apply for characters not listed on the info page (as long as they didn't die before the Sasuke ♥ Barrel arc).

Applying is super simple. All you need to do is drop a sample post here, to narutorp_apps, our brand spanking new application community. It also might help to read up on what existing players are up to.

Since we are no longer following the manga plotlines, characters have a lot of freedom to do -- well, pretty much whatever suits their fancy (within reason). It's really a lot of fun, so please consider applying~!
