Nov. 22nd, 2008 01:05 pmSurely you have seen the press release, but we posted something at our often neglected and unloved

Pass the word, yes, Inty is totally serious. We took it to a vote, that's what we decided.
Thanks for everything guys. This may mean a return to the Shippuuden recaps I was doing before, when I get back.
I don't think I am even going to be in the country for the last episode we sub, damn

Date: 2008-11-22 05:58 am (UTC)I just have a concern -- will it be available everywhere or just for the USA? Because if the streaming only works for USA IPs then a lot of us are going to be fucked. Does anyone know for sure?

Date: 2008-11-23 08:32 am (UTC)Naruto.com doesn't state that it's only for US and Canada, but their ad-supported streams of Part 1 are currently only available for the US. Hulu is obviously US only, and Joost hasn't confirmed who'll have access to their streams.
Hopefully we won't be left behind. It would be crazy if non-US people don't have any access to free content. 1) It's not very fair, and 2) It would mean fansubs would still be necessary to a lot of people. Personally, I'm not willing to pay for Crunchyroll service. The company started out as con-artists, I'd rather a free stream or something like i-tunes with high quality and channel subscriber fees rather than per-episode.

(but you'll still do your hilarious summaries, yes?)
