I was in Tokyo this weekend for many reasons (some normal, fome rather Naruto related), and while visiting the JUMP Shop at Tokyo Dome, I spotted something that should be exciting!

A promotional poster for the anime that was ALSO advertising this summer's movie. The poster features Naruto and Sasuke, so this summer's movie will probably have Sasuke. Good if you like Sasuke, bad if you don't. Hahaha.

Photobucket

Anyway, no news on the title or anything else, but we are likely not to hear much of anything until the DVD of this past summer's movie gets released.

Later this week I am going to try to post a little about the JUMP stores in Tokyo and Osaka. I know some of you may visit Japan and want to check them out!

Anyway, that's all from me! I'll talk to you all soon!

If you can you should also post about the "Sninobi Room" store near the Kaiyukan. A perfect place to let your dork out! XD

Oh, sorry, I assumed you were based in/near Osaka and must have already been to the store. :)

The 忍屋 and 忍者屋敷 (Ninja Mansion Maze/Haunted House with a statue of Kakashi at the entrance) are located on the second floor of the Tempozan Market Place (right next to the Osaka's Kaiyukan Aquarium). I have been there in the summer of 2008 and I hope the store is still opened because it was totally awesome!
As a bonus, there is also a Studio Ghibli's store filled with to-die-for merchandise.

Ahaha, I remember that place. I never went inside though.

The jump shop in Osaka is pretty small though. I always found more stuff scattered around the shops in Den Den.

It's fun inside! You can practice throwing shurikens and be amused by squeaky tiny katanas. :D

DenDen Town is evil. After spending ages in just one store you never wanna see anime merchandise ever again. XD

I think I went to Den Den town so often I learned to just pass by the stuff I wasn't interested in. Usually I was hunting for manga and doujin so I didn't get bombarded by all the anime goods. But I totally understand what you mean. That was me in Mandarake and my eyes crossing from trying to read titles sideways.

I was surprised how little actual electronics are to be found in the DenDen Town and how much anime/porn was there! XD

Can I ask you how did you end up living/staying in Osaka? /curious

They do have electronics. They just aren't on the main strip really. I went with a friend when he was trying to build his own computer.

I'm a former Osaka-fu Jet.

I should have replied ages ago...

> I'm a former Osaka-fu Jet.

I see, I thought it might be something like this. :D

How did you find the experience, if you don't me asking and have free time to answer?

From: [identity profile] tasukigirl.livejournal.com
It's different for everyone, but I was in a good spot and with a great school so I really enjoyed it.

How's that for being brief and vague? If you ever have specific questions, feel free to ask. Trying to sum up a few years of your life in a quick answer tends to be... challenging. ;)

Oh man, I just realized I never replied to you! Sorry for being rude!

Thank you for the reply! :)

It's really great that you got a good school and your experience was positive! Makes me optimistic about maybe applying for a teacher's position in Japan.

And you could probably write a book about your time in Japanese education system and I would read it all and demand more. It's very interesting to read about people's experiences. :)

Aha, writing a book on it would be challenging. There are definite strengths in the system and some very obvious weaknesses. And no worries, I totally didn't notice the late reply.

Translation of the movie title, for those of us who can't read Japanese, please?

Oh. But what do the words in white in the upper right hand corner of the poster say?

Just hype about fate and destiny. XD (I took the photo)

...I'm assuming that orange blob is Naruto, somehow, and I can kind of see Orochimaru's face I think, and, wow. Emo!Dark!Sasuke is emo.

Nah that orange blobs either Gamakichi or Gamabunta, but at the top of his head that seems to be Naruto, you can see his leg

Crazy Sasuke? :O

unfortunately they can't have crazy sasuke in there because he hasn't gone crazy yet in the anime (though he might by the time the movie airs, but probably not if they throw in more fillers). Also because he will scare small children d:

Keyword being yet. I highly doubt that the current filler will last that long, so we should be getting a little bit of canon prior to the movie's premiere.

not sure if this movie is going to be about Sasuke, they tricked us with the last one xDD, awesome trailers about sasuke and Naruto, and the 1hr and a half film had 15mins of sasuke ¬__¬
so let's say this movie will have a couple of minutes of sasuke x'D

Thx

Yeah i figured that. I seem doomed to be never be able to find what I want.
I need to do a day of proper looking for anime stuff rather than just general wandering - I was in Harajuku yesterday - lots of cool stuff but unfortunately the Y vs the £ is making it all very expensive for me right now T__T. I live in Shinjuku, as of 2 days ago, so I am still unpacking etc.
Any recs for shops, fun or anything would be greatly recieved!

Itachi figurines are pretty rare, period. Hit up Akihabara. Try the huge Animate or venture through the shops that sell only gashapon. Some of them will sell the gashapon toys separately so you can actually pick what you want. Just be aware that they will cost more than if you tried to get one randomly from the machine. They have some shops that sell only figurines too. Just beware that most of these don't have a lot of female customers.

Thanks, I think I might head over to Animate today, as I have been zooming around the county on my JR pass for 3 weeks now and my feet hurt! Definately time for some retail therapy! I am aware i might be on a fools errand, but I promised I would look, and I have found myself some Sasuke stuff, at Mandarake in Shibuya, so I feel bad now!
Being an Engineer I am pretty used to going to shops where I am the only girl - I shall survive ^__*

I finally found an ikkle Itachi figure in Akihabara today. I am currently grinning like cheshire cat with a cream-soaked canary. Thanks for the advice!
