Ok, so, how many people here remember this summer? Of those of you who do, how many remember writing in the KakaIruKashi Shipper Essay? Or the KibaShinoKiba? Or SasuNaruSasu?
Anyone?

Well, if you do remember that, then you probably (ok, you maybe) already know that sometime in September, the webhost holding all of those kicked it, and kicked it hard. When it finally started running again, the essays (all 5132 pages of them) were gone. These included Shipper Essays on all the Naruto fandoms, the Loveless fandom, and several others. This was a great loss to the shipping community, as well as the writers who participated.
( But now we've got a chance to do something about it! )

Ninja Fishys

I found this kind of interesting with my fish. I unfortunatly dont have a camera to take pictures nor the process of the fish

SO a few months ago i went out and got some new fish. Within that group i had bought 3 sand like catfish. Being the obsessed fangirl i am i named the trio after the Sand Siblings. The smallest catfish was named Gaara, the one that had the most stripes and spots i named Kankurou and the last one Temari. Apparently Gaara fit that one fish's name perfectly because he was always under either the filter or the plant. If another fish went near him he would chase them away. Unfortunatly gaara died the other day :( Im not sure if my one fish beat him up or what. The funny thing now is that the other two catfish, Kankuro and Temari, are full or energy and are swimming around like crazy

I dont know i found it amusing on my behalf and wish i could have taken photos

PS- i dont flush my fish down the toliet but bury them XD Horrible gaara fangirl if i did

Fanfic

Hi! As a personal challenge to myself, I've started a Naruto Fanfic journal where I'll write a drabble of up to 5000 words and post it for people to read. The challenge is, once read, I want people to post a suggestion on the next piece I write. Again, up to 5000 words. It can be about any character in the series, any pairing or plot idea, any rating. The only trick is is that it has to somehow connect to the previous story and the stories as a whole. The sparse details are found at the journal.

The first was an idea that struck me; the teacher of the battle tactics class in the Academy lets her students make an escape and she grades them on how well and how long they can stay free.

There is no real point to all of this, simply to challenge myself and entertain others.

So, follow the ( fake cut ). No pairing, rated G to begin.

Debate

Am currently having a small debate with a NaruHina 'shipper. I don't know how I always manage to get into some sort of fight/conflict these days...

And it's not just over here at LiveJournal. I'll see someone write in their stories over at FF.net why SasuHina is "Eww!" because it's practically incest and that they haven't spoken to each other ever in the whole series. To me, these reasons are inane and have no true depth behind them. Then again, that might just be me. I have friends who like NaruHina and can provide better justifications for their dislike of SasuHina.

I just want to know this: Why can't we all get along? What's the big deal with pairing preferences? I tolerate canon pairings (although I dislike most of them), but it doesn't seem like some canon lovers tolerate the things I like.

I realize that this subject has been raised many times, but I'd love to see some more discussion about it. If you are a NaruHina 'shipper, what appeals to you about the pairing? What turns you off about SasuHina? And if you are a SasuHina 'shipper, what do you like about it? Why don't you like NaruHina? And we can even include NaruSaku and SasuSaku in this, too, since that was included within the debate as well.

Why do you like canon pairings? Why do you like crack pairings?

Feel free to discuss with each other if you wish. I just want to say that pairing wars are pointless and a waste of time.
