Hey, I don't know about the rest of you, but with the onslaught of Chapter 306... don't any of you wish that, just for that heart-wrenching scene, that Studio Pierrot can Toshiro Masuda (the guy doing the NARUTO music currently) and hire someone totally new (writing totally different music) ASAP, so that by the time it rolls around for the anime, we'll have some gorgeous, nostalgic music just for that scene? Come on now people, you know we all laughed/cringed when the music came in on episode 132 (or thereabouts). *shakes head*

I've been thinking of these for awhile and I've finally decided to ask:

1)Who else thinks it will turn out that Shino has strange insect-like compound eyes if we ever see him without glasses? (That filler episode doesn't count.)

2)I don't know if this has already been covered by canon but how did Lee pass the Ninja Academy exam? (The one which they had to create clones and Naruto failed in the first episode)

A sort of halfway reminder to anyone in London, or near enough to find going there feasible ... gatty and myself (mostly her) are organising a little get-together so that a bunch of us can whine about the fact that Naruto basically doesn't exist in England, because misery loves company loser about, meet new folks and not feel like completely lonery morons for fangirling noisily in public places. Or, as Gatty put it, "go, DUDE YOU LIKE NARUTO, hey SO DO YOU. MAN THIS IS SOME CRAZY SHIT".

We're meeting on Tuesday 30th May at one o'clock outside Forbidden Planet. If you don't know how to get to Forbidden Planet, that's okay – you can either try to find a map to it and get hopelessly lost (you will get hopelessly lost, trust me), or find gatty inside Tottenham Court Road tube station between 12:45 and 1:15. Look for the tall lass with some kind of Naruto-conspicuous sign taped to her, or possibly one that says 'HI I'M GATTY' if my sign-making skills get lazy. She'll take the people who gather there to Forbidden Planet.

On that note, make yourself in some way conspicuous. Tying any item of merchandise you have to you works, or you could make yourself a little sign that indicates beyond reasonable doubt what you're there for, and then surreptitiously take it out of your bag and hold it up hopefully when you see what looks like a clump of Narutards. If you want to cosplay, be our guest; you'll most likely be in the minority, but you'll be hella noticeable so that's all good.

We'll probably mill round Forbidden Planet a bit and then probably go 'round some other places if anyone's got anything to recommend, and then go and get lunch (or get lunch first if anyone's really hungry). And hang out companionably until so many people have gone home that the only people left feel like losers. It's probably a good idea to bring some money so you can, you know, get food. And buy tat.

Anyway, if you can definitely come, please leave a comment and let us know you're certain; we'd like to get an idea of how many people are coming for sure (tell us if you're bringing anyone with you). If you've got any questions, feel free to ask 'em here :3 Or, you know, just let us know you really wish you could come but you're in a different country/participating in a charity event/holding a revolutionary meeting/bathing your robot that day.

Question to the American Cosplay people who've done Kakashi:
Is there anywhere cheaper than 9mm that does the single lens Sharingan? I mean $100 is steap for one contact lens.. you know? I've found a good outfit (its his pantsuit type deal, vest, and boots) for around roughtly $100.. and I can get most of the other stuff cheaper but i mean daaayamn it'd be my first cosplay so I'd want to look nice but eegh O.o I'm still a single mom lol

Oh, just because it feels weird not to:  *insert required fangirlness for chapter 307*   But the fic has nothing to do with that, just had to get it out of my system.
