Two things.

One: Themesongs (mostly for The Anime rather than the Manga, or whichever you want)

What song do you think best 'fits' the Cast of Naruto? (or individual characters?)
why?

Two: there are a LOT of ads for rp places, I've looked at some. Any that are in the actual naruto world that needs OC's? I'd like to join a Naruto RP. Mostly because I think i'd like to interact with the chars (i'm looking for something close to the original anime/manga rather than overly customized)

Uchiha Hapi coats?

Ok, so, this is my first post here, Hi, Naruto fangirl, yadda yadda. I've got no ships (really, I don't.), and just one crack theory. Other then that I'm a novice cosplayer waiting on her loving mother to send her a sewing machine so she can get cracking out on her 50 billion things she needs to make (I want to make Temari by Halloween so I can were it to my classes). I'm also one of those JETs you hear about, who has a position assistant teaching English in Japan.

Anyway, onto what I really wanted to talk about. I have the ability to go and buy hapi coats cheap, and to bring in a little extra income to my life, I wanted to make hapi coats with the Uchiha Fan on it. Not 100% sure how I'm going to do it yet (with fabric or paint, and I AM open to suggestions here), but I know I want to make them at least for my Naruto friends.

I've got free time, so if you have suggestions of how you would put the fan on the coat, let me know. Like, Sasuke cosplayers, do you paint the fan on, or sew one on?

edit: Hapi coats are the short kimono jackets worn at festivals. I'm thinking I'll likely get haori, wich are the same, just worn as kimono jackets. . . errr, anyway, you get the idea, you know what they look like. We'll see what I get, and what colors. thanks so much you guys, for your interest. ^.^

Advertising for Gaara

This is my first post here and I hope this is allowed here, I couldn't find anything about it in the rules, so...

We're looking for someone to play our Gaara over at leafsociety, a Naruto and Bleach crossover highschool RP. Considering that I'm playing Sakura and am a GaaSaku fan it would be nice if our future Gaara is open for that pairing. If you're not, I guess I'll just have to suffer. ^_~

We have a lot of other open characters too, but a Gaara is what we're most interested in right now.

Ok, I've come up with a silly plan. I'm constantly drawing Naruto characters, but I'm too lazy to color/CG them all, and I don't want to clutter my deviantART account with sketches, so I created naruto_sketch. I will post at least one sketch there daily. Thought you all would like to know. Here, a sample:

The Japanese are a strange bunch. You see, they don't have capital letters. At all. They have squiggly things and different alphabets and little symbols that can mean whole words. But, dudes, really, no capital letters. When we romanize Japanese into English, we impose our rules on their non-capital-letter-system. We capitalize the first letter of sentences and proper names, because we're English-speakers and that's what we do.

Fine.

TenTen. Just -- no. What?

You wouldn't throw a capital letter in the middle of Neji for the hell of it. Do you realize how absolutely hilarious NeJi would look if you wrote it like that? How about KaKashi? KiShiMoto? And why would you capitalize in the middle of a proper name? Maybe I would buy it if her name were written in kanji with the symbol for "heaven" represented twice, but that's a moot point. Her name isn't written in kanji, it's in katakana. Four cute symbols all in a row.

Many have argued that it's a personal preference because there is no official English spelling. And anyway, like I said before, the Japanese have no capital letters, so we can really put them anywhere we want. But here's my question. Why? Habit? Looks prettier? (I don't see it, but some people might.) I guess I'm just wondering why people prefer the TenTen spelling.

Enlighten me.

Ok, so I live in NC and frequently travel to Cary, which has the closest Borders, Barnes & Noble, and movie theater. And everytime raigekijin and I go to Cary, we swear we're going to take pictures of a particular sign to post on here. Only thing is...we always forget. So, in lieu of the sign, I MapQuested it. And, so under the cut is something I hope think you will find interesting.
